Dr. Erik Ploot, DPM

Dr. Ploot was born in Bowling Green, Ohio. His parents are both Norwegian and he lived in Norway and Denmark for several years as a child. After returning to the USA, he grew up in upper-state New York and Michigan. He met his wife Rhonda while attending Michigan State University. After graduation, they moved to Leadville, CO where they enjoyed living up at 10,000 feet for several years. Dr. Ploot finished his pre-med course-work at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
The couple moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Ploot attended medical school at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated near the top of his class. His surgical training was completed at an intensive foot and ankle surgical residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He participated in approximately 2,500 foot and ankle procedures during residency. The focus throughout his medical training and career has been exclusively on the foot and ankle.
Dr. Ploot moved to the Flathead Valley and joined Glacier Foot and Ankle Associates in 2001. He is a Board Certified surgeon, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a diplomat of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Ploot and his family have found Kalispell and the Flathead Valley to be an ideal location to live and together enjoy all of the exciting outdoor activities the area has to offer.
